Sage Tidbit #3: Vitality in Life & Work, Part 2 - Relationships

A tidbit is a small morsel…. of inspiration, insights, or lessons learned/tips to reflect on, and digest, over your week.

Last week, we established that having energy and vitality are what enable you to do life well and perform well, sustainably, at work.

Today, we are going to discuss the impact that nourishing Relationships have on your vitality. Nourishing relationships have the 3Cs: Care, Commitment & Connection.

Relationships are all about negotiating wants and needs – giving someone what they need and getting what you need.  When we feel the support of others, or are able to express ourselves and give of ourselves, this is where we can find connection and fulfillment that can support and fuel our lives and work.

 Reflection Questions

  • How well do you give to, and serve others?

  • How well do others meet your needs?

  • What, if anything, could you change to foster enhanced communication and a greater sense of care, connection and belonging in any of your important relationships?
