Hi, I’m Suze Shaner-Brodax
Suze’s Biography
In 2006, I founded Sage Leadership Strategies, to bring my perspective to a variety of clients: large growth companies that are seeking alternative ways to develop and manage key talent, small to mid-size companies looking to better leverage their resources, and entrepreneurs in need of a trusted advisor to help them sort through the challenges of wearing multiple hats and finding success in intensely competitive environments.
Companies in which I’ve worked as an internal leader include IBM, GE, Accenture, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and Healthnet. My background also includes being trained as a therapist using the creative arts; teaching school and developing self-help programs in the inner city of Kingston, Jamaica in the West Indies.
Much of my career has been in leading startup functions, which include tasks ranging from setting strategy to implementing detailed tactical plans. I bring creative thought leadership blended with pragmatic realism. My clients describe me as thoughtful, candid, responsive and timely.
If you want a creative point of view, a catalyst who brings insight and facilitates clearer and more meaningful dialogue amongst your team, I am your person. I have a knack for innovation, often repurposing and reconfiguring tools, processes and ideas for different objectives, applications and environments.
I am a lifelong learner and certified in dozens of programs, tools and models. In addition, I hold a Masters of Science degree in Human Resource Education from Fordham University, a Masters of Arts degree in Expressive Therapy from Lesley University, a Certificate in Holistic Health Counseling from the Integrative Institute for Nutrition (IIN), and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with honors from Boston College. I’ve been on various boards including ATD (American Society for Talent Development), ICF (International Coaches Federation), NEATA (New England Art Therapy Association) and CAWCT (The Cultural Alliance of Western Connecticut).
I’m an outdoor health enthusiast who enjoys art, music, dancing, reading, organic gardening, yoga, swimming, hiking and spending time with my family.
