Having energy and vitality are what enable you to have a sense of well-being and do life well and perform well, sustainably, at work.

What gives you a sense of energy and vitality in your life and/or work?

The research states that, while there are a number of factors that contribute to someone’s vitality, two overriding factors are critical: Purpose & Relationship.

 

The Japanese have a term, “Ikigai,” that refers to someone’s purpose, reason for living, or what makes life worthwhile for them. Being closely aligned to, and living your purpose gives you energy and strengthens your vitality. Knowing and living your purpose, having a reason to get up every day, is an inside job. If you know it, how do you live more of it? If you aren’t clear on what it is, how can you discover what it is?

  • What do you love about your work?

  • How can you do more of those things?
