Thanks for your comments. I completely agree with you. Eldercare issues are now coming to the forefront with most workers, regardless of their age. These issues can be even more demanding and draining than childcare issues.
Ultimately it comes down to employers being flexible and employees recognizing they have choices and being willing to deal with the consequences of those choices.
And it always helps when managers have sensitivity!</description>

		<description>Great post. No matter how good a job a company might do, it is all about the First Line Manager. I believe we have gotten better with workers having issues with children and I contend that this is because most managers have had their own children! Take an issue like Eldercare and now it is a function of if a manager is or isn&#039;t aware of this. If a manager has Eldercare issue of his/her own, sensitivity would be higher than if not. 

We need to help on awareness on all issues that affect work-life challenges and keep that stress level down.</description>
